Events coming up across the region

14th June 2024

If you were able to make the journey North to experience BEEF Rockhampton 2024, we are certain you will agree it was a huge success.  What a week for the beef industry!  Some of the Gympie Beef Group Committee headed up to be part of the impressive cattle competition in the show ring, carcass competition and various functions, or just take in the information overload with an endless choice of seminars, new tech, machinery, equipment and anything else you can think of in our industry, it was covered.  What a fantastic event that only gets better every 3 years.

There are some events coming up that may interest you, so please see below for more details.

It's not too late to register for Bush Fire Information Nights being held in the North Burnett and Fraser Coast Regions.  You are still able to attend a workshop in June if you can't make the information nights being held this week.  Please see further details here Bush Fire Information Nights and Workshops

MRCCC are hosting another informative beef grazing and pasture field walk at Nikenbah this coming Thursday, including a session on tanks and troughs.  There are very limited spaces left so please RSVP as soon as possible if you are interested.  Please see further details here MRCCC Nikenbah Pasture Field Walk

Brian Pastures Research Station near Gayndah is hosting a field day at the end of May showcasing their latest research onsite.  This will cover several topics from presenters and exhibits, including everything from nutrition and pasture management to carbon accounting and cattle genetics.  For more details and to register, please see details here Brian Pastures Field Day 29th May 2024

Hope you can get along to one or more of these great events. Keep an eye out for our polling survey coming your way soon through Member Jungle.  We really want your input as members on what other field days, workshops, education courses and events you would like Gympie Beef Group to host in 2024 and beyond.

Have a great week from the Gympie Beef Group team!
